Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania:After a quiet month of December, marked by the release of the Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas Special on Disney +, Marvel has decided to accelerate the promotion of the next film centered on its Ant-Man, who faces his biggest challenge in the person of Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors).
The little present of the two previous teasers, the big villain announced of Phase 5 is this time placed at the heart of the subject, in a trailer almost exclusively set in the Quantum World (justifying the crazy title “Quantumania”). And, far from the theatrical arabesques of his predecessor He Who Remains (in the finale of Loki), this version of the Conqueror stands out for its seriousness and power, as he obviously tries to leave his prison to sow discord in the multiverse.

Compared to the (very) light tone of the first two parts, this third film seems to promise a darker story, with Scott Lang completely overwhelmed by the threat he has to face. We can also be afraid for the hero as this trailer presents him in a bad position against Kang, while the poster declares the arrival of a new dynasty. This sentence also confirms the important place that Quantumania will occupy for the rest of the MCU, at the head of Phase 5, and which places at the heart of its plot the future adversary of the Avengers in Kang Dynasty (and probably Secret Wars).
Among the nice novelties, we note the presence of MODOK (aka Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing), probably embodied by Corey Stoll (Yellowjacket in the first film), and the

apparent henchman of Kang. Another funny detail revealed by Marvel, David Dastmalchian, who previously played Kurt in the franchise (yes, his Russian buddy), will be a new character in Quantumania, Veb (perhaps a link to the multiverse, whose relationship with the quantum world is little in doubt). According to the rumor, the film would have for the moment a duration of 2h05.
Phase 5 will kick off on February 15 in cinemas, starring Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Jonathan Majors, Bill Murray and Kathryn Newton. It will always be directed by Peyton Reed.
