Ant-Man 3: After Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, it is the turn of the third part of the adventures of Ant-Manto entitled to its first trailer, including the highly anticipated Kung.
Here is the first trailer of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which as its name suggests will take place mainly in the quantum realm, already visited by our heroes during the previous film of the saga. If this (splendid) micro-universe played a decisive role in the victory against Thanos duringAvengers: Endgame, it had only been explored little until now. To dive deeper into its abyss, we obviously find Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne, who wears a new cut quite “comic accurate” (it is however his mother who embodies The Waspin the paper version). Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne will also be there, as well Cassie Lang, played this time by Kathryn Newton. The latter will be at the forefront of the plot alongside her father, even wearing a costume similar to hers and Hope’s. Perhaps the first step towards a superhero career for the one who calls herselfStaturein the comics.
But of course, the one who steals the show from all these beautiful people is none other than the antagonist of the film, the intimidating Kang the Conqueror, played by Jonathan Majors. Introduced in the Loki series through one of its variants, this version of Kang promises to be much less benevolent, and the offer offered to Ant-Man in these new images sounds much more like an ultimatum. A supervillain capable of traveling through time and existing in different eras, it’s no surprise to find Kang in the quantum realm, a place that has already been exploited in the MCU as a path through space-time. It is also not surprising to see this Conqueror occupy almost all the space on the poster of the film, unveiled simultaneously with the trailer, as he is expected as the new figurehead of the Marvel antagonists. While waiting for Avengers: The Kang Dynastywhich should devote him to this role in 2025, we will soon have a first glimpse of the one who will have to assume the hard succession of Thanos.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, directed by Peyton Reed, starring Paul Rudd, Evangeline LilyandJonathan Majors, will be released in theaters on February 17, 2023.
