One has been announced for a while in the DC Black Label and the other has been teased by its author this last week, so it is in May that we will find the beginnings of Batman: Last Knight on Earth and deceased.
BATMAN: LAST KNIGHT ON EARTH
Since the solicitations leaked thanks to Bleeding Cool, we learned that Batman: Last Knight on Earth, which is supposed to be the ultimate story of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo together on the Black Knight, will release his first issue of 56 pages May 29 in the Black Label, and therefore in prestige format. Still planned in three parts, this story will see Bruce Wayne waking up in the Arkham Asylum still young and without having ever been Batman. This is how this new Dark Knight adventure begins in a quest through the devastated DC Universe landscapes where we will find many familiar faces. As he seeks to recall the mystery of his past, our hero will discover the cause of this dystopian future and pursue the force that has destroyed the world he knows. To help them tell what DC sees as “what could be the last story of Batman ever told,” Snyder and Capullo will host Jock’s variant covers and his first issue will cost $ 5.99.
DECEASED
Tom Taylor has not stopped teasing his story that risks violating the entire DC Universe, and his deceased with artists Trevor Hairsine and Stefano Gaudiano will arrive on May 1st for $ 3.99. It will be a mini-series where a mysterious techno-virus has spread to Earth, infecting 600 million humans, transforming them into monstrous and violent devices of destruction. The heroes of DC are distraught in the face of this pandemic and seek first to save their loved ones, but what happens to the greatest heroes at the end of the world? The standard covers will be made by Greg Capullo (whom you will find accompanied by a Bible verse on the Apocalypse), while Francesco Mattina will make the variants and Yasmine Putri will sign a variant horror film
