Worlds of DC: Batman without Batfleck and Suicide Squad 2 for 2021

Farewell to the costume
The result of the big maneuvers. Following the huge successes of Wonder Woman and especially Aquaman who has just defeated The Dark Knight by winning the DC movie with the most greenbacks and, in between, the epic fail of Justice League, the Warner is now safe. More universe shared, but stand-alone movies. The announcement of the day that comes from THR confirms it indirectly.

In short, the DCEU (although it never officially existed) is dead, long live the Worlds of DC, a universe of unconnected DC movies.

Ben Affleck hangs up to leave to Batman’s new generation
Batfleck is my favorite Batman and I would have liked to know more, but it’s dead because Ben Affleck has just hung up to make way for a younger Bruce Wayne for Matt Reeves’ Batman.

Anyway, the film entitled for now The Batman has just recovered an American release date: June 25, 2021.

PS: Okay, Ben Affleck does not say explicitly that he hangs up, but seriously?

James Gunn writing and directing The Suicide Squad
Surprisingly, the Suicide Squad will also experience a reboot phase. It’s no longer called Suicide Squad 2, but The Suicide Squad. The director fallen by Disney will write and realize this new iteration of the suicide squadron. Of course it will not be a sequel. US release date? August 6, 2021.

Incidentally, the Birds of Prey have just started their shoot
Through a short video, Cathy Yan’s Birds of Prey with Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Huntress), Jurnee Smollett-Bell (Black Canary) and Ewan McGregor (Black Mask) present themselves and officially announce the beginning of the shoot.
