The Saga IS really back!
Hardly, I mentioned this morning that an exciting teaser has just been unveiled by Entertainment Weekly.
The atmosphere looks really excellent and seems to go back to the origins with this side a little horrifying unfortunately absent from the female reboot. I do not know how to define it, but there is really something. At first, I even thought it was an excerpt from a film from the 80s until the special effects appeared.
Torchlight passage
Let’s end this day with the words of its director Jason Reitman.
I always considered myself the first fan of Ghostbusters, when I was 6 years old and visiting the set.I wanted to make a movie for all the other fans and geeks. This is the next chapter of the original candor. This is not a restart. What happened in the 80s happened in the 80s and [this new film] is happening today.
Jason Reitman is the kid (his father, Ivan, is on his left). The picture was taken on the shooting of the first Ghostbusters.
For the anecdote, Jason Reitman made an appearance in Ghostbusters 2. It’s the kid of the birthday party who is not impressed by the ghost hunters and balances them: “My dad says you guys are full of crap. “.
The father, Ivan Reitman, director of the first two, speaks of it as a passing torch.
It was a very difficult decision that he had to take on his own. He worked very hard to be independent and developed a great career on his own. So I was quite surprised when he came to see me with Gil [the co-writer] and said, “I know that I’ve been saying for 10 years that I’m the last person who should make a film of Ghostbusters, but … I have this idea. “. Literally, I was crying in the end, it was so moving and funny.
