RACHEL SKARSTEN TO BE BATWOMAN’S MAIN WINNER

The Deadline site has just unveiled that Rachel Skarsten was cast in the role of Alice, the main villain of the first season of Batwoman.

The choice of this actress, now more known for her role in Reign, is not trivial since it is still recycling of an old series adapted from DC, in this case, Birds of Prey where Rachel Skarsten played Black Canary. She will interpret the enemy of Batwoman, Alice, leader of a gang inspired by the work of Lewis Carroll. Her description unveiled two months ago spoke of a troubled woman moving from maniac to charming in an unpredictable way and would be in some way the Kate Kane Joker.

the pilot of the Batwoman series will begin filming next month in Canada. Casting ads should naturally appear in the coming weeks. It starts with Deadline who teaches us who will face Batwoman (Ruby Rose). Again, it’s far from a surprise, it’s about (Red) Alice.

To embody it on the screen, the CW chose Rachel Skarsten. Seen in Reign and Lost Girl, she has already played a character in the DC universe, as she played Dinah Lance in the Birds of Prey series.

Not knowing yet how the series intends to exploit the character and what interpretation it will make, we will avoid giving too much detail about it. We will only describe it as the equivalent of the Joker for Batman. The leader of the Wonderland Gang, Alice can turn from charming to manic. Its sole purpose is to terrorize Gotham.

The first season of Batwoman is expected for the current of the year on the CW. In replacement of Arrow?
