Kevin Feige has just given details on the progress of the project!
Already almost two years since the second installment of the adventures of Peter Quill, Gamora, Rocket, and Groot has come out and yet, no start of production in sight for the third. Even if Chris Pratt has teased an incredible script written by former franchise director James Gunn, it seems that this famous scenario is not ready to be put into action. Marvel’s big boss, Kevin Feige, commented on the progress of the project and the news is not really good: “I mean, when it was pushed back, it was pushed back for good. the release date – although we have never announced a release date, but of course at the beginning, it should have happened as soon as possible, except to know that we are going to use the draft of James Gunn’s script we have focused on other projects for now. ”
Clearly, do not expect filming to start anytime soon! At the same time, they all have a lot of things on their hands. On the eve of the release of Captain Marvel and Avengers Endgame, Marvel professionals need to be fully focused on both events. Chris Pratt will soon start filming Jurassic World 3 and no director has yet been found to take over the torch left by James Gunn. With a little luck, production will start in early 2020, which could eventually mean an exit for 2021 or even 2022. But nothing is certain, knowing that Marvel already has a schedule in mind for the next five or six years, impossible to know if The Guardians of Galaxy 3 is part of it or not. As we said, we will have to take our trouble.
